Hello, Manuel.

This is a good question. To be successful, the model must
be capable of addressing the transport of the PAHs across
the air/water interface. Few lake models have that
capability.

I suggest that you check out the LakeVOC model by Bender,
Asher and Zogorski. Details about the model, and links to
the model itself, can be found at
http://pubs.water.usgs.gov/ofr03212.html

Part of the problem you face is in estimating the source
contribution due to the boats, which contribute PAHs
directly to the water and also emit PAHs to the air. The
LakeVOC model requires this source contribution as an input
to the model.
