Hello!

A quick search on the Internet reveals that several oil
spill models do exist.

For example, see
http://www-me.engr.ccny.cuny.edu/faculty/cekirge.html
for some work done by Professor Huseyin Murat Cekirge of the
City College of New York.

Also, see
http://www.dhi.dk/dhiproj/EcologicalModelling.htm
to learn that DHI Water and Environment has done oil spill
modeling with an oil spill module (SA) for their MIKE 21
model. They may be able to apply that module to a long,
narrow lake.

Next, see
http://www.appsci.com/oilmap/oilmap_moreinfo.htm
for information on oil spill models from Applied Science
Associates.
